if u want to try the full version (crescendo), there is a demo button on the home page with all the instruments

Evan posted some form of battle music on the FB page. its called "The Suicide Game" its kind of got that Bastion feel: simple yet it feels like a war drum.

i dont know
that would be kinda hard, since chords dont work well in scores
but scales or arpeggios might be okay

By the way, you can use [youtube] (insert video title here without space) [/youtube] if you want to post videos via BBC code. It's a lot easier than posting links.
Also, electric guitars are used in the song, and it does make it a lot more epic.

How about a string ensemble for a frantic feel? (it's 20 secs into the video)

yeah that style of use for guitars would be simple
just substitute a countermelody or harmony with that or guidetones and it should be fine

Not really. I think most are waiting until the environment is decided so the music can fit the mood.
